A good scarce pre 1881 cast nickel example. High relief thistle wreath encircling two scrolls inscribed 'Peninsula' and 'Waterloo'. Between the scrolls, the Sphinx resting on a tablet inscribed 'LXXIX'. Stout pin to reverse. Generally VGC. Pre 1881.
